7'6 Al Byrne Byrning Spears 1981 Six Channel Single Fin Surfboard

It's 1981 at the dawn of Simon Anderson's 'Thruster' era, however Single Fins still reined supreme, especially in hollower, heavier conditions.

Late that year Allan 'AB' Byrne surfs to a runner up finish at the Pipe Masters on a slimmed down version of this very design. Anyone who was on that fateful day will tell you he was robbed, surfing far deeper in the barrel than Simon could manage on the early incarnation of his multi finned design. Surfing loves an underdog, and as a result AB's place in surfing folklore is eternally cemented, as one of the best Surfer/Shapers of all time!

If you've been lucky enough to ride on of these you will be able to vouch for its intoxicating blend of speed, drive and manoeuvrability. This truly is the pinnacle of the Single Fin design, and as a result, it's head and shoulders above any others we have ever ridden.

We ship along boards to metro areas along the East Coast using a surfboard courier and in some instances we can ship to Perth, Adelaide or Melbourne for pickup from the airport.
