Based off our best selling, and most loved ...Lost Surfboard, the V3-Rocket. Mayhem's V3-Stealth was influenced by input and requests from the team riders with the aim to blend the feel of the V3-Rocket, into a board built around a more traditional nose outline. This results in a board with the user friendly characteristics of the V3-Rocket, but with added response, performance and top end wave range of a standard shortboard.
Starting with the V3-Rocket, length and rocker is added to the nose. The nose outline is then pulled in to resemble a more modern shortboard template. In the tail, more pronounced, double flyers and a more extreme “Rocket” diamond, further enhance grip and control. This creates a plenty of precision in steeper more critical waves, and loves to be surfed to bottom. With V3’s relaxed stringerline rocker, for glide and down the line speed, as well as a good amount of concave. This concave increases lift, and results in a hyper curved rail rocker under the rear foot, freeing up the board when surfed off the rail.
It's this combination of speed and agility that make the V3 Stealth a great daily driver, even in sub par surf! The V3-Stealth should be ridden 1-2” longer than your stock V3-Rocket.
R4 Radiating Four Channel Matt Biolos' take on the channel bottom, the “R-4” Channels are fast and loose in smaller to average waves, because they are angled not parallel, they work with the fins, encouraging radical direction changes, as well as drive in tight turns. The two outer channels are aligned with the toe in of the front fins, angled towards the nose. Where as the two inner channels are toed in a touch less. As a result the channels cut through the curve in the tail rocker and radiate out the tail, these give the substantially more grip, drive and speeeeed! The R4 Channels are fun, fast and exciting… and these hold their own, not only clean waves, but also even soft and sloppy surf.
